Pippa lives locally in Northumberland. She has gained a broad range of physiotherapy experience through her work in both the NHS and private practice. Her clinical experience includes orthopaedics, elderly care, functional rehabilitation, medicine, falls and stroke rehabilitation. Within the NHS, she has worked in acute frailty, surgical and neuroscience services, as well as cardiac rehabilitation and critical care, supporting people at different stages of their recovery. In private practice, her work includes assessing and treating musculoskeletal conditions and prescribing exercises to support rehabilitation.

Her NHS roles have included Cambridge University Hospitals, working in elderly care, the acute frailty unit, surgery, medicine and stroke; Royal Preston Hospital, with rotations in neurosciences, acute stroke, medicine and orthopaedics; and Royal Blackpool Hospital, in cardiac critical care, cardiac rehabilitation and the acute therapy team. That breadth includes respiratory physiotherapy on critical care units, and she has completed further training in tracheostomy management, evidence-based stroke rehabilitation and breathing pattern disorders.

Pippa takes a patient-centred, exercise-based approach, combining clinical reasoning and clear communication with practical strategies to help people understand their condition, build confidence and work towards their goals. She tailors rehabilitation to each person’s needs, with an emphasis on making treatment relevant to their individual goals and supporting progress throughout their recovery.

Her ongoing interests include evidence-based stroke rehabilitation, building on her experience of supporting people with neurological conditions. Pippa also has a strong interest in Pilates and is an APPI-trained Pilates teacher, bringing a further exercise-based perspective that complements our approach to rehabilitation. Her Pilates training with APPI includes pelvic health, which links closely with her work on breathing and posture.

“It’s very rewarding helping people reach their goals and to transform negative thoughts into positive outcomes. It’s a privilege to be involved in people’s recovery.”
