George is a Senior Community Physiotherapist with Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust, working in Home First and Reablement across Cheltenham, Gloucester and the surrounding area — the NHS pathway that helps people get safely home after a hospital stay and rebuild their independence there. He works as an autonomous practitioner managing a complex caseload, and supervises junior physiotherapists and rehabilitation assistants.
His clinical background covers post-operative orthopaedics, deconditioning after a hospital admission, falls prevention, and long-term neurological conditions such as Parkinson’s disease. He has particular experience in elderly rehabilitation, orthopaedics and neurological rehabilitation, and in the complex decisions involved in keeping someone safely at home.
“I believe in empowering patients to regain their mobility and independence through positive and safe experiences of movement, helping people to rebuild their confidence and lead fulfilling lives”
Interesting fact:
George is a firm believer in practicing what he preaches — you’ll usually find him staying active at the gym, on the tennis court or out on a hike.
