Chartered Physiotherapist

Qualification: MSc Advanced Clinical Practice (Neuro Rehabilitation); BSc (Physiotherapy). HCPC Registered.

Area covered: Berkshire & Buckinghamshire

Victoria is an experienced neuro-specialist physiotherapist with over 20+ years of experience. After completing her first degree, she went on to complete three years of general rotations within the NHS across a range of specialities and healthcare settings including elderly care, amputee rehabilitation, hydrotherapy, cardiac intensive care and orthopaedics. She was particularly inspired by her time working with patients following neurosurgery – subsequently moving to a Specialist Neurorehabilitation Service. She has held a number of positions within this service over the last 19 years – including her current role as a Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist in Neuro Rehabilitation – where she primarily works with people following stroke, spinal cord injury and traumatic brain injury. Victoria completed her Masters in 2022. Following this, she spent some time working in stroke research and was part of a team of researchers that published in the BMJ Open. Victoria also worked as a Lecturer in Physiotherapy.

“Becoming a Physiotherapist was the best career choice I could have made. Over the years, the people I’ve worked with have taught me a huge amount about human resilience and how timely access to good rehabilitation is key to helping people achieve their goals”.

Interesting fact:

Victoria and her family have a Therapy Dog in-training, called Mabel. Mabel works in a school, listening to children reading and providing support to children with emotional needs. Mabel is very well-behaved at work…but less so at home!
