Vicky

Chartered Physiotherapist

Qualification: MSc Physiotherapy, King’s College London; MA Natural Sciences, University of Cambridge. HCPC registered.

Area covered: Oxfordshire and Berkshire

Vicky is a specialist neurological physiotherapist with nearly two decades of experience, much of it at the forefront of NHS stroke and neuro-rehabilitation. She qualified with a Master’s in Physiotherapy (with Distinction) from King’s College London, following a first-class degree in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge.

Across her NHS career she has held senior clinical and leadership roles — including Band 8a Therapy Team Lead at Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trust, where she ran the occupational therapy and physiotherapy teams across an acute hospital, and lead physiotherapist on an acute stroke unit. She went on to lead the Early Supported Discharge stroke team across Oxfordshire — the NHS service that brings stroke rehabilitation out of hospital and into people’s homes, which is exactly the kind of care she now provides with The Caring Physio.

Her expertise is rooted in advanced neurological rehabilitation, with training in the Bobath concept, functional electrical stimulation and spasticity management, alongside extensive experience in elderly-care rehabilitation, falls prevention and home-based therapy. Closer to home, Vicky leads the physiotherapy for Stroke Care Newbury & West Berkshire, supporting stroke survivors at their weekly sessions at Woolhampton Village Hall.

“I have a passion for helping people achieve the quality of life they have the potential to live and can guide your rehabilitation and adaptations to suit your personal goals.”
